Our Auckland Outdoor Adventures

Great Barrier Island

Diving Great Barrier Island

Situated on the outer edge of the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park, Great Barrier Island is a mecca for divers, offering dive sites suitable for all skill levels.

Duder Regional Park

Duder Regional Park

With easy walking tracks and excellent views of the Hauraki Gulf islands from Whakakaiwhara Point, Duder Regional Park just south of Auckland is a great family day out.

Te Arai

Te Arai Beach

Te Arai Beach, with it’s unusual rocky point and pure white sand, is one of our favourite weekend getaway spots, perfect for surfing, walking or just chilling out.

Te Ahumata

Climbing Te Ahumata

Te Ahumata may not be the highest peak on Great Barrier Island but this plateau shaped hill with its distinctive white cliffs is definitely worth climbing for some excellent views.

Windy Canyon

Windy Canyon

A Barrier Island must-do, an easy climb to a lookout spot above Windy Canyon offers great views of Whangapoua Beach to the north, and Kaitoke and Medlands beaches to the south.

Kaitoke Hot Springs

Kaitoke Hot Springs

While Kaitoke’s natural hot pools are not a Barrier Island must-do, they are worth visiting if you’re looking for an easy walk, have some time to spare and don’t mind a little rockhopping.
